This place has an amazing salad bar and the staff was very good. It was clean and the food was good quality. It's quiet dining where you can talk and enjoy your food and the company of friends and family.
Comfort food like Grandma cooked in the 1960s before microwave ovens and air fryers took over the kitchen. Meatloaf was moist and flavorful. Salad bar variety was fresh with lots of options. Friendly and attentive staff. immaculate restrooms.
Special today 3 italian dishes. Every one was great! Wife loved her fried chicken. Server was great, thank you Kennedie. Bread served was mediocre. And what a bargain! Would have been twice the price in Indy.
I prefer the Pappas side, myself! Gotta love the bar! Endless variety, and never a bad meal. Everything I have had was delicious and well-prepared. My go-to dinner spot with the wife on the weekends!
5 Stars – Outstanding Experience at Mama and Papa’s in Bedford, Indiana! We stopped in at Mama and Papa’s in Bedford and were absolutely blown away! I had the Bacon Jam Burger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The bacon jam added the perfect mix of sweet and savory, and the burger was cooked perfectly. The onion rings on the side were crispy and full of flavor—exactly how they should be. My wife ordered the sirloin, and she couldn’t stop raving about how tender and flavorful it was. Cooked exactly to her liking and seasoned just right. We also started with pepperoni sticks and fried mushrooms, both of which were fantastic. Fresh, hot, and delicious! On top of the great food, our waitress was absolutely top-notch. She was attentive without being overbearing and made sure we always had what we needed. It’s rare these days to find such friendly, prompt service, and she made our meal even better. Overall, Mama and Papa’s is a true gem in Bedford. If you’re looking for a spot with incredible food, great portions, and wonderful service, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

The atmosphere is welcoming with music down low where you can talk without screaming as at other places. The service can be a little slow but the servers are polite and tentative. The salad bar for a local Mom & Pop shop is a must-eat. On our 1st visit, it was on a Monday late evening at 19:30 and that salad bar was fresh. The Tenderloin, ran through the garden with their signature seasoned fries was superb And make sure you bring your appetite, you'll need it this place gives hometown portions not that petite stuff. And let me just say it must be good on a consecutive basis as a lot of locals eat there including a mixture of Civic duty-minded Folks.
Found this gem when searching for good tenderloins. We were not disappointed. The tenderloin was crisp and delicious! Cole slaw for a side was diced and very tasty! They also have a salad bar which was full and had a lot of variety. They cut up the lettuce and even sliced pepperoni! We will definitely be back when in the area!
